MADOKA MAGICA CROP TOP inspired by one of my favorite pivotal scenes in the Madoka Magica anime. I was particularly inspired by the moment when the plucky atmosphere, typical of the magical girl genre, is abruptly shattered. An Eldritchian horror (Charlotte, depicted in the back patch) brutally consumes one of the heroines (Magical Girl Mami) in front of prospective Magical Girl Madoka, the main character, revealing that being a magical girl doesn't make you invulnerable, and can lead to an early and violent death. I associate this moment with having the innocence of childhood ripped away and being thrust into the brutal reality that is the cruel and indifferent adult world.
